On the occasion of the 2231st anniversary of foundation of the first Mongolian Statehood, 816th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, 860th anniversary of the birth of Chinggis Khaan, and Mongolia’s National Pride Day, U.Khurelsukh, the President of Mongolia, has awarded Order "Chinggis Khaan" to Jack Weatherford, an American scientist and a professor of anthropology, and emeritus, at Macalester College, and D.Dorjgotov, Ph.D of the Institute of Geography and Geo-ecology.
