D.Munkhsaikhan, head of the Fire Brigade Department of the National Emergency Management Agency, said “According to the emergency call, a rescue unit with 4 firemen arrived at the fire site at first and started extinguishing the fire. Three of them came out of the fire, but one didn’t. One hour later, a fireman who was missing was found dead”. Also two firemen were injured and received first aid.
Rescue units 10, 14, 26, 29 and the officers of the Ulaanbaatar Emergency Department’s rescue unit stopped the spread of the fire at 12:40 PM. And at 3 PM, the fire was extinguished completely. 1-3 floors of the 15:10 meter reinforced concrete frame with block filling and foam insulation were burnt in the fire.
