His journey to the final saw him dominate the quarterfinals with a 19-5 victory over Geraldo Castro Encarnacion, a 24-year-old Pan American Games silver medalist from the Dominican Republic. In the semi-finals, he defeated Italy's Antonino Bossolo, who placed 5th at the Tokyo Olympics and won the 2023 World Championship.

This silver medal marks the Mongolian Paralympic team's second medal at the Paris 2024 Games. Both Mongolian athletes who competed in Para Taekwondo brought home medals, showcasing their exceptional skill and determination.

The K44 category in Taekwondo is for athletes with impairments in both hands or parts of one hand, affecting their ability to move their hands.
