Longest hole charity golf adventure in Mongolia

This summer, Ron Rutland and Adam Rolston are on an incredible charity golf expedition across Mongolia.

Teed off from the base camp of Khüiten Peak in late June, Ron Rutland and Adam Rolston are aiming to reach the 18th green of Mount Bogd Golf Club, on the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar in September. Their journey includes a 12-day desert trek and multiple mountain climbs.

Taking set of golf clubs, and playing golf across Mongolia literally, across the mountains, rivers, deserts, and plains of one of the most sparsely populated countries on the planet, Adam Rolston and Ron Rutland are attempting a world record for the longest completed hole in golf by walking some 1,850km from the most western point in Mongolia to the 18th green of the Mt Bogd Golf and Ski Club, the one and only golf course of any significance in Mongolia.

The Longest Hole charity golf adventure aims to raise funds for the incredible work done by Laureus Sport for Good, who support over 100 programs which use sport to make social change in around 40 countries around the world, and another organization that they work closely with, who focus on golf development, the SA Golf Development Board.
