Mongolia hosts World Women's Forum in 2024

The World Climate Action Summit (WCAS) of the United Nations Climate Change Conference – COP 28 is being held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

During this, a high-level meeting of the group of developing countries was held. High-level representatives of the member states participated in this meeting and exchanged views on the position of the group to be followed during the COP28 conference and the issues to be considered during the talks on climate change this year. B.Battsetseg, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, participated in this meeting.

B.Battsetseg mentioned that girls and women are greatly affected by climate change, and emphasized the importance of their leadership and participation in creating a stable society with equal opportunities. And the Minister announced to member countries of the group that Mongolia is planning to organize the "World Women's Forum" next year and discuss the issue of climate change.

The parties discussed implementation of the Paris Agreement, reduction of loss and damage, increased funding, solutions for climate change mitigation and adaptation, and ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Also, B.Battsetseg, Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasized that climate change has a significant negative impact on the development of developing countries.
