E.Sodnompiljee, who won a gold medal in the -107 kg powerweight category at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games today, will receive a monthly reward of MNT 9 million from the State.
According to the ordinance of the President of Mongolia dated August 16, 2012, monthly reward to medalists of the Olympics and Paralympics, and the World Championship was reflected during lifetime.
Reward amount:
- MNT 4 million for an Olympic gold medalist;
- MNT 3 million for an athlete who won a silver medal at the Olympic Games;
- MNT 2 million for a bronze medalist at the Olympic Games;
- MNT 2 million for an athlete who won a gold medal in Olympic distance and weight at the World Championships;
- MNT 1 million for an athlete who won a silver medal in Olympic distance and weight at the World Championships;
- MNT 500 thousand for an athlete who won a bronze medal in Olympic distance and weight at the World Championships.
According to the ordinance, the athlete's reward will be started from January 1 of the following year.
As for E.Sodnompiljee, he won a bronze medal at the Rio Paralympics, and 1 gold and 1 silver medal at the World Championships, and 1 gold from Tokyo 2020 Paralympic which he will receive a monthly reward of MNT 9 million in total starting from January 1, 2022.
