On April 6, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister N.Nomtoibayar visited the General Department of Emergency Services and reviewed its activities, current situation, and ongoing measures.

N.Nomtoibayar emphasized the need for additional research and analysis to increase the budget and financing of the emergency services sector, as well as to improve the relevant legal and regulatory environment. He also instructed officials to prioritize the discussion and approval of draft laws developed on the basis of this research during regular sessions of the Parliament.

The Deputy Prime Minister also stressed the importance of implementing policy measures to improve disaster risk management and response systems in line with international standards, while gradually upgrading the technical, equipment, clothing, and material resources of emergency services.

In addition, he expressed support for increasing the value of the work performed by emergency service personnel, improving the salary and incentive system, and strengthening the legal environment to ensure their social security.
