On March 17, J.Chinburen, Minister of Health, received Beate Dastel, the new Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund in Mongolia. The two exchanged views on future cooperation in the health sector and ways to strengthen joint programmes for children’s health and wellbeing.
The UNICEF representative was appointed to Mongolia in February, 2026 and brings more than 23 years of experience in international development and programme planning, having served previously as UNICEF Representative in Djibouti and in deputy roles in Lao PDR and Bhutan.
