Yesterday, Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Purevsuren received United Nations Under Secretary General Mr. Jeffrey Feltman and exchanged their views on cooperation of UN and the facing issues on a global and regional level.
Mr. Jeffrey Feltman noted that Mongolia is contributing to peace and security of not only international, but also regions and promised to show full support on Mongolian effort to the development. Moreover, two sides approved to cooperate on strengthening the security of Northeast Asia.
United Nations Under Secretary General Mr. Jeffrey Feltman participated in the international honor conference dedicated to 25th anniversary of the Mongolian First Democratic Election and he delivered video greeting of Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon.
Also, Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Purevsuren met with the representatives led by the President of International Republican Institute Mark Green, yesterday.
During the meeting, IRI President Mark Green said that Mongolia has opportunity to implement mega projects with the support of international cooperation in the future and the success and experience of Mongolian democratization process is being studied internationally.
After, Minister L.Purevsuren received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Mongolia Mr. David Aptsiauri. Ambassador David Aptsiauri was invited to the international honor conference dedicated to 25th anniversary of the Mongolian First Democratic Election and delivered the greeting letters of President, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
Minister L.Purevsuren emphasized the friendly relations between Mongolia and Georgia and expressed his gratitude on receiving the greeting letters. Two sides exchanged their views on the relations between the two countries and mentioned that the further cooperation is possible to expand, reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
