Mongolia provides its fuel supply 95% from Russia and 5% from China. As of October, 2021, 3,550 tons of AI-92 fuel has been imported from Russia and 12,250 tons from China, a total of 25,800 tons. In October, 54,880 tons of AI-92 gasoline was planned from Russia and 20,000 tons from China.
Operation of the Angarsk refinery has been stabilized since October 17 and began shipping 17-95 wagons or 1,000-5,500 tons of AI-92 fuel per day. 7,750 tons of AI-92 fuel was shipped from the Khukh Khot refinery.
Distribution of AI-92 fuel is made quickly in Ulaanbaatar and other areas. In particular:
- AI-92 fuel distribution is normal at Tsagaannuur and Borshoo ports in the western region.
- NIC, MT, Tes Petroleum, Shunkhlai, Gaz-Oil, Undraga Uvs, Monsul and other companies supplied 570 tons and 150 tons to Tuv, Govi-Altai, Uvs, Bayankhongor, Arkhangai, Uvurkhangai, Dundgovi, Umnugovi, Bulgan, Selenge and Govisumber provinces.
- NIC, MT, Sod Mongol, and Shunkhlai LLC unloaded 16 wagons or about 960 tons of AI-92 fuel at Darkhan and Erdenet stations and started distributing in Orkhon, Darkhan-Uul, Khuvsgul, Bulgan and Selenge provinces. In addition, 5 tank wagons or 300 tons of AI-92 fuel were loaded from Bayangumen station (Choibalsan city) on October 21 from the Angarsk refinery.
Shipment from the Angarsk refinery of Russia has been increasing since October 23, and 95 wagons were shipped. 47 wagons or about 2,800 tons of AI-92 fuel were shipped to Darkhan, Erdenet, Sukhbaatar, Sainshand, Choir and Choibalsan. The shipment will be delivered to the regions starting from October 27.
According to the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry, the average daily consumption of AI-92 fuel in Mongolia is 1,330 tons, of which Ulaanbaatar is 850 tons, Khangai and Central regions is 265 tons, and Western and Eastern regions are 215 tons.
