Three hiking trails and recreational areas are available at Bogdkhan mountain. On the weekends, nearly 4000-5000 citizens hike to these routes and followed by 300-400 cars. Due to lack of management and poor infrastructure, hiking areas are near to be filled with waste.
Thus, Ministry of Environment and Tourism and City Governor`s Office in cooperation with affiliated other organizations planned to build parking lots for 264 cars and 60 bicycles at 1.2 hectares of areas at the starting point of hiking trails. City Road Development Department approved MNT 3 billion for the building.
The new parking lot is projected to be commissioned before Naadam festival which is held July 11-15.
