L.Oyun-Erdene: Sanctions imposed on Russia impact negatively on Mongolia's economy

L.Oyun-Erdene, the Prime Minister of Mongolia, gave an interview at “Financial Times” and stated that the restrictive measures imposed on Russia by Western countries impact negatively on Mongolia's economy.

"Tass" agency reported that L.Oyun-Erdene, the Prime Minister of Mongolia, gave an interview at “Financial Times”  that the West’s anti-Russian sanctions have hurt Mongolia’s economy.

The Prime Minister of Mongolia emphasized that sanctions have a negative impact on Mongolia's economy. He also complained of issues associated with payment for fuel that Mongolia imports from Russia and disruption of some products Mongolia used to buy from its Russian partners.

Airlines that once operated Europe-Asia routes through Russian airspace also flew over Mongolian territory. Now, many European airlines fly either over the North Pole or take a more southerly route across Central Asia and Turkey.
