New Hospital started operations after two years of planned date

New building for National Mental Health Centre of Mongolia has opened its doors for service on Sep 25. Reportedly, this is the only building opening its doors out of 26 construction projects for medical purposes started back in 2010. Construction Company “Shine Barilga” worked as a contractor for this MNT 4 billion project and succeeded with meeting its deadlines in 2012.

The reason behind delayed date of hospital operation was Ministry of Health with late procurement of equipment and amenities for the hospital, which took two years and MNT 1.8 billion.

Minister N. Udval commented on remaining 25 projects started in 2010 as being currently ceased due to the financing issues aroused from the increased budgets and there is a need to investigate such changes of project budgets.

At the commencement of the new amenities National Mental Health Centre officials introduced new programs and services available for the patients such as laser treatment for smokers, new amenities for post-treatment training, e-library, improved physical therapy programs and disinfection laboratory.
