Working groups meeting of the Ministries of Road and Transportation of Mongolia, Russia and China was held on May 24-26 in Ulan-Ude.
During the meeting, parties agreed to rush the signing of trilateral agreement according to the policy of UNESCAP, The Asian Highway Network. Signing ceremony of the agreement was scheduled to be held on December, 2016 while it has decided to be held on June 23-24 during the high level meeting in Tashkent.
In scope of the agreement, parties to negotiate the opening of the AH-4 corridor from Russia to China, Xinjang through Bayan-Ulgii port, and Hovd port as well as the use of AH-3 corridor.
AH-3 is a logistics corridor which has the route from Tianjin to Erlian, then goes through Zamiin-Uud-Sainshand-Ulaanbaatar-Darkhan-Selenge and ends in Ulaan-Ude. Due to AH-3 covers quite long roads, the parties agreed to perform testing transportation at first. Thus the testing transportation from Tianjin to Ulan-Ude will be organized during Aug 15-20.
