Lucky Paws NGO is implementing the project named after “Animals have a right to live” and the project activities were introduced last Saturday, October 2. The project aims to contribute to the protection of the rights of pets living in Mongolia and the introduction of a legal environment that increases the responsibility of people who pet dogs and cats.
In framework of the project, followings are aimed:
- Have rules and standards for pet care
- Increase requirements of pet owners
- Stop uncontrolled breeding and cruelty to animals
- Change the way of reducing numbers which is shooting currently
Currently, several campaigns are under process which are:
- “Animals have a right to live” 1500 signature collecting event
- A comprehensive study of the current situation of pets in Mongolia
- Study the international legal environment and standard of pet law, and develop draft of pet law
