City Tourism Department in cooperation with Jeju tourism organization of South Korea and Jeju Olle Trail are implementing a project to build Olle standard hiking trails at two camping areas near Ulaanbaatar city since June 2016.
Jeju Olle Trail is a series of walking trails that stretch around the entire coast of the island. The signs along the trail are made of environmentally friendly materials. Japan has first introduced the olle standard trails and Mongolia will be the third country with olle standard hiking trails.
In scope of the project, 6 km and 14 km olle trails were built at Chinggis mountain, Terelj National Park, and Bogd Khan mountain respectively. Currently, signing work is underway. The hiking trails are expected to be opened on 18,19th of June, reports City Tourism Department.
