Today, A.Ambaselmaa, Head of the NCCD's Surveillance and Research Department, reported, "As of December 9, 5 new cases of Covid-19 registered in Mongolia, total 893, 3 cases registered in in Selenge province and 2 cases were detected in the NCCD staff. No new cases were registered in other provinces in the last 24 hours. Total 443 domestic cases registered as following:
- Ulaanbaatar 128
- Darkhan-Uul province - 45
- Dornogovi province - 31
- Orkhon province - 25
- Govisumber province - 4
- Selenge - 207
- Arkhangai province - 3 cases.
Total 384 patients were recovered and 500 people are under treatment, one patient is in critical condition. The observation period of 320 people has expired. 12 people are under treatment at the General Hospital of Selenge province.
There are 1606 close contacts of confirmed cases and contact monitoring is under process. The rapid test is not ineffective. The rapid test has a 98-100 percent guarantee. There are cases of negative results by PCR. The rapid test is useful because many people are taking the test”.
