After a visit to Bayannuur in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the PRC, Prime Minister U. Khurelsukh visited Gashuun-Sukhait Port.
During the Prime Minister’s official visit, it was decided that a total of 23 million USD would be invested in efforts to make Gashuun-Sukhait an international port with expanded capacity. The construction of apartments for civil service workers at Gashuun-Sukhait Port is expected to be completed by 2019, with financing from the Bayannuur city budget.
The Prime Minister met with executives from Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi JSC, Energy Resources LLC, and Tavan Tolgoi JSC, and said that a government decision will be made soon to improve the Tavan Tolgoi coal mine's utilization.
