Stone gers near Bogd Khan Mountain being demolished

The capital city authorities are taking measures to increase the number of places for recreation and leisure. Within this framework, lands are planned to be vacated in 22 locations. In accordance with the capital city Governor's order No. A/740, the demolition of objects that negatively affect the ecological balance of the Mount Bogd Khan Strictly Protected Area has begun and severely damaged gers on Ar Zaisan Street in the 11th khoroo of Khan-Uul district are being demolished.

Stone gers around Dugui Tsagaan, which is on the way to Bogd Khan Mountain’s Baruun Shireet and Zuun Shireet, have been severely damaged for many years, and adversely affect the protected area. There are a total of 49 stone gers at the location. This location is planned to be landscaped into a recreation area and public toilets, sidewalks, and lighting will be built.
