On March 16, Chief of Staff of the President of Mongolia P.Tsagaan has welcomed the representatives of the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation (OEEC). The Project Manager of the OECD Eurasia Competitiveness Programme Mr. Gregory Lecomte, Project Co-ordinator Mr. Arnault Pretet, and Policy Analyst Mr. Marco Bianchini were present at the meeting.
They discussed about the projects and researches being implemented by the European Union to promote Mongolia’s small and medium-sized enterprises. A presentation of the project report will be made at the OECD Headquarters in Paris, France, by the end of November 2016. The representatives of the EU, and the officials of banking and financial sectors will participate in the event.
Mongolia has never made such presentation on the development of its small and medium-sized enterprises and it is deemed as one of the reasons why Mongolia does not attract more investment from the European countries. OECD representatives emphasized the sufficient information on the financing of the small and medium-sized enterprises in Mongolia.
