The General Authority of Health Insurance reported that the revenue of the health insurance fund in the first nine months of this year was MNT 1.1 trillion, which increased by MNT 139 billion (13%) from the same period of the previous year. While expenditure of services of the health insurance fund reached MNT 1.2 trillion, which decreased by MNT 127 billion (9%).
The increase is influenced by fees paid by the state budget to citizens, amounts MNT 151 billion, which increased by MNT 28 billion (23%) from the same period last year.
In September 2023, 3.7 million people were insured with health insurance /duplicated number/, which is an increase of 109 thousand (3.1%) from the same period last year. This growth was mainly influenced by the increase of 38.3 thousand (3.8%) citizens whose insurance was paid by employers and insurers, and by 73.5 thousand (3.3%) citizens whose insurance was paid by the state budget.
