T. Munkhsaikhan, Minister of Health, has concluded the six-day "Listen to Doctors" morning meeting, which provided a platform for doctors to voice their concerns about healthcare policies and receive direct responses from decision-makers.
During discussions with around 800 doctors, key issues raised included challenges related to insurance financing, salary concerns, and workplace pressures, including instances where doctors face reputational attacks through photos and videos taken by patients or their families.
Addressing these concerns, Minister T.Munkhsaikhan stated that doctors' salaries have been increasing steadily over the past four years and will continue to rise. He also emphasized that the government is working to resolve financial challenges by paying off debts owed by the Health Insurance Fund.
New legislation, including the "Law on Improving the Legal Environment of the Healthcare Sector" and amendments to the "Law on the Health Insurance Fund," is expected to be introduced during the autumn parliamentary session.
Additionally, the Minister highlighted growing concerns over verbal and physical attacks against medical professionals. He assured that stricter legal measures will be put in place to protect doctors' dignity and safety. Moving forward, healthcare policies will focus more on strengthening legal protections for medical workers, addressing social issues, and improving health education.
