January's housing price index sees an increase

The Bank of Mongolia and Tenkhleg Zuuch have released a housing price index (HPI) for January 2018.

In  January 2018, prices for apartments increased by 1.5 percent compared to baseline data from January 2013, and by 3.53 percent compared to January 2017.

According to the central bank prices for new apartments increased by 3.28 percent compared to January 2017, but prices for older apartments decreased by 7.74 percent. The HPI compiled data on 4,751 properties available for sale in the Ulaanbaatar real estate market.
