At the invitation of B.Battsetseg, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Winston Peters will pay an official visit to Mongolia on February 27-28, 2025.
This marks the first high-level visit by a New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister since 2013 and coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
During his visit, Winston Peters will meet with D.Amarbayasgalan, Speaker of Parliament, L.Oyun-Erdene, Prime Minister of Mongolia, and hold official talks with B.Battsetseg, the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The discussions will focus on expanding cooperation in priority areas, including economy, agriculture, tourism, and education.
Mongolia and New Zealand established diplomatic relations on April 8, 1975.
