As part of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan, the "Milky Way" Japan-Mongolia Dance Festival was held yesterday at the Sukhbaatar Square.
The event was attended by G.Zandanshatar, the Speaker of the Parliament, Motoo Hayashi, Chairman of Japan-Mongolia Parliamentary Friendship League and league member Kobayashi, Ts. Davaasuren, the Parliament Member, Head of the Mongolian and Japanese parliamentary group in the Parliament, H.Kobayashi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia, other foreign ambassadors to Mongolia and other officials.
G.Zandanshatar, the Speaker of the Parliament, said that the relations between Mongolia and Japan have progressed for half a century, and now they are developing deeply at the level of strategic partnership based on common values of democracy, human rights, the rule of law, and mutual trust.
He also said that he is glad that 2022 was announced as the "Year of Friendship and Exchange of Children and Youth of Mongolia and Japan" as part of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
"Milky Way" dance festival was attended by over 250 artists including Tumen Ekh Ensemble, Suld Ensemble, Soyombo Ensemble, Khan Khentii Ensemble, Central Khalkh Song Drama Theater, Mongolian Tuurgatan Theater, and Japanese groups "Toojin", "Tassuiren, Yakkoren".
