L.Oyun-Erdene, Prime Minister of Mongolia, held a meeting with V.V.Volodin, the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, on September 24.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Mongolia gives priority to cooperation between Mongolia and Russia based on a comprehensive strategic partnership and expressed his gratitude for the activation of high-level mutual visits between the two countries and the expansion of relations and cooperation.
Two parties exchanged opinions on a wide range of issues, such as reducing the trade imbalance between Mongolia and Russia, accelerating the implementation of joint projects in the railway and energy sectors, stimulating regional cooperation, and developing cooperation in the fields of education, culture and sports.
During the meeting, L.Oyun-Erdene, Prime Minister of Mongolia, has requested to pay attention to the fuel supply of Mongolia due to the recent decision of Russia to temporarily limit the export of fuel.
V.V.Volodin, the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, said ”It was reflected in the resolution that temporarily limiting the export of fuel does not apply to countries with intergovernmental agreements and friendly relations”.
He also expressed his support for the government to implement joint projects, giving importance to the relations between the two countries due to the fact that the highest legislative bodies of the two countries play an important role in strengthening the legal foundations of relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Russia.
