Principle Vocalist of State Opera and Ballet Theatre, baritone A.Enkhbat was chosen as one of 20 finalists at BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, the eight-day event, which is held every two years in London. The 20 singers chosen from nearly 350 applicants were announced on February, 24.
A trio of judges flew for auditions in eight cities from Milan to New York to make the final choice of finalists from 55 countries.
The rounds for the Song Prize will take place in the Dora Stoutzker concert hall at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Finalists will join Welsh representative Celine Forest to compete for a place in the final, held in Cardiff from June 14 to 21.
