Khaan Quest Exercise starts

Exercise Khaan Quest, a multinational ground forces peacekeeping drill designed to boost military-to-military interoperability, hosted by Mongolia.

Military personnel of 23 countries including USA, Russian Federation, Australia, Bangladesh, Belarusia and many more have started their training at the 311th military base in Mongolia starting from June 20th.

The exercise is cosponsored with the United States Pacific Command (PACOM) and was only organized between USA and Mongolia and since 2006 the quest became international. 

Moreover, this quest has become one of the five biggest events in Asia-Pacific region in improving of peacekeeping capacity activities and trainings.

According to a U.S. PACOM press release, Khaan Quest 2015 “consists of a command post exercise (CPX) and field training exercise (FTX) at Five Hills Training Area, both of which will focus on peacekeeping and stability operations. During these portions of the exercise, Mongolian, U.S. and multinational forces will work to enhance regional interoperability and mission effectiveness, as well as develop common tactics, techniques and procedures.
