During the state visit to Japan, PM Ch.Saikhanbileg met with Koichi Yajima, Executive Managing Director, COO of Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and he is to sign "Economic Partnership Agreement between Mongolia and Japan" which negotiation had lasted more than three years.
PM Ch.Saikhanbileg expressed his interest to implement the "Mongolian mid-term strategic partnership with Japan" program to intensify the cooperation on constructing power stations, railways, smelting plants of iron, steel, copper and highways.
Koichi Yajima, Executive Managing Director of JBIC said that we are appreciating Mongolia to sign "Economic Partnership Agreement" with Japan.
JBIC had signed a general agreement with the Government of Mongolia, for offering the first export credit line amounting to the equivalent of 8 billion yen in June, 2013. It is expected that supporting Japanese companies' exports to Mongolia through this credit line will contribute to maintaining and improving the international competitiveness of Japanese industries, as well as strengthening the economic relationship between the two countries.
Koichi Yajima, Executive Managing Director of JBIC said that if this expiremental project will be implemented in term, we are ready to support the next stage program.
PM Ch.Saikhanbileg stated that he will be pay attention to project implementation and requested to export a new $ 300 million credit line.
