"The Hu" band was appointed as "Artist for Peace" by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris, France.
Negotiations to appoint "The Hu" group as "Artists for Peace" were discussed during the meeting of the Ministers of Culture which was held last September.
The meeting was attended by Ch.Nomin, the Minister of Culture of Mongolia. Within the framework of intensifying the activities outlined in the newly signed cooperation memorandum between the Government of Mongolia and UNESCO, it is considered that organizing the UNESCO International Conference on Culture in 2023 in Ulaanbaatar will make a real contribution to overcoming the challenges facing the international community.
As a result, it was agreed to cooperate within the framework of appointing artists who are major representatives of Mongolian culture and art sector as UNESCO’s "Artists for Peace".
