B. Javkhlan: Mongolia's foreign exchange reserves reach USD 5 billion

B.Javkhlan, the Minister of Finance, presented the Cabinet's decision, stating:

"The Financial Stability Council meets every Tuesday, and we are working to increase Mongolia's foreign exchange reserves. To achieve this, we are focused on boosting exports and mobilizing the domestic market.

We have engaged with buyers of our export products, introduced new policies, and provided necessary information. As of yesterday, Mongolia's foreign exchange reserves have reached USD 5 billion. This marks the third time our reserves have hit this level.

As of March 31, coal export volumes have remained stable, though prices have declined. However, the losses in coal revenue have been offset by gains in copper. Additionally, with gold prices reaching historic highs, we expect to see positive economic results."
