Transparency International published its annual Corruption Perceptions Index on Wednesday.
The CPI has been around since 1995 and measures how much corruption is perceived to exist in the public sector. The 2015 edition includes data on 168 countries and territories, each of which gets a score out of 100. The nearer to 100, the better the country is doing in its fight against corruption.
With a score of 39, Mongolia ranked 72th most corrupt country out of 168 countries.
Compared to the 2014 CPI, our country jumped up eight places. (up from 80 with a score of 39 to 72). Mongolia has been advancing quite few places in CPI annually.

- In 2012 Mongolia ranked 94th with a score of 36
