National Emergency Agency reports that as a result of cloud seeding, rain has started to pour in the city, Darkhan, Selenge and Tuv provinces since yesterday (June 19).
The rain showers were expected to stop at 12 p.m. However, it is likely to continue until the evening. Fortunately, one fire occurred in Selenge and two fires occurred in Tuv province were put out due to five hours of rain. Currently, no flood call was registered in the city.
Meanwhile, Information and Research Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology, and Environment reports that the temperature in Ulaanbaatar city will reach 30C this weekend.
According to the weather forecasts from Jun 21-25, temporary rain is expected in some parts of Central and Eastern provinces on Jun 21, some parts of Gobi province on Jun 22, eastern parts of Gobi provinces and southern parts of Eastern provinces on Jun 23. Before the rain, winds will reach 16-18 m/s. From Jun 22, hot weather with temperature ranging from 28-36C is expected in most regions.
