Mongolian team leads Asian Memory Championship

Team Mongolia leads the Asian Memory Championship held in Hong Kong during the weekend with 37 medals.

Total of 119 athletes from 13 countires competed in 10 categories for children, youth and adults. Team Mongolia consisted of 20 athletes and coaches and won 37 medals out of total 63 medals.

In detail, 14 golds, 13 silvers and 10 bronzez.

International Master U.Sengesamdan won 6 gold medals and 2 silver medals by total points of 10 games and became Asian Champion collecting 7,141 points and ranking 5th in the world ranking out of 3,000 athletes.

Youth category was dominated by Mongolians as well as Grand Master E.Purevjav,  Youth World Champion E.Enkhmunkh and Youth World Championship Silver medalist Z.Tsetsegzul  won the first three places, while N.Namuundari won silver medal in children's category.

Grand Master E.Purevjav set the new world record in Binary Counting and 30 minutes cards category, previously owned by Mongolian athelete.

Moreover, athletes U.Sengesamdan, A.Anudari, B.Shijir-Erdene, E.Enkhmunkh, Z.Tsetsegzul, E.Purevjav have qualified for title of Asian Masters.
