3D printer available for public at National Park of Technology

Within the framework of Code 4 Green UB project, World Bank has handed over two Ultimaker 3D printers to Mongolian National Park of Technology. Anyone majoring in technology, working in technology field or keen to create something valuable is enabled to use the printer at open laboratory of the park.

Now it is possible to print what is seen on computer screen into a tangible object thanks to 3D printing technology, which has been rapidly developing for last two years in the world.

Two 3D printers presented by World Bank is one of the leading brands in the field, each of which is worth of USD 2500 and received 6.5 out of 10 ranking from CNET.

The printer produces low level of printing sound and supports operating systems including Mac OS, Linux, Windows, with the capacity of printing sizes of 23x22 and 5x20.5 at the speed of 30mm – 300mm seconds.

In addition, the cabinet with Raspberry Pi and two incubator rooms are also established at the park. The technology is open for anyone to use, so that you can print 3D object at anytime and write software by using Raspberry PI.

Open laboratory’s timetable is available at 09:00 – 18:00 on Monday – Friday,  and closed on weekend.
