Mayor of Ulaanbaatar E.Bat-Uul received March 11 Steve Rose, the general manager of Cummins Mongolia Investment LLC. The latter said that Cummins, a major US-based diesel engine manufacturer, is opening an official branch in Mongolia this March 25.
Mr Rose also highlighted that Cummins, regardless of the global economic difficulties, made profit of 19 billion USD last year.
The Mayor expressed a satisfaction with the launching of a Cummins Mongolia branch and promised to attend the grand opening.
“I am happy with the opportunity to collaborate with one of the top companies of the world. To be frank, our public transport's conditions are not as good as desired. We have been putting much effort to improve the system. In the commitment, we can work with Your company and national EcologyBus LLC on park renovations,” he said.
