“Current Status and Prospects of Mongolian-Chinese Economic and Trade Cooperation”, an international scientific conference, was held in cooperation with the Bank of Mongolia.
At the conference, the parties discussed the current state of trade and economic cooperation between Mongolia and China, the challenges they face, and the direction and opportunities for future cooperation.
The two parties set a goal to increase trade between the two countries to USD 10 billion by 2020, and the trade amount reached USD 10.1 billion in 2021. The event was attended by more than 50 representatives from relevant ministries, research organizations and companies.
In 2021, the foreign trade of Mongolia and China reached USD 10.1 billion, of which exports reached USD 7.64 billion and imports USD 2.49 billion. In 2021, Mongolia exported 82.6 percent of its goods to China out of 64 countries and imported 36.4 percent from China out of 159 countries.
