Due to difficult weather conditions this year, the agricultural sector is facing the risk of loosing its certain amount of harvest.
Over 40 entities and companies have cultivated in total of 55.000 hectares of land throughout the nationwide. Out of 72% of total cultivated land is expected to loose its harvest and two to five times lower crop compared with last year to be harvested from the remaining land.
Therefore, farmers established Disaster Risk Assessment Committee which is to determine the amount of damages and to take measures to reduce the potential risk. Harvest report of 2015 is scheduled to be introduced within this week.
However, 280 thousand tons of wheat is expected to be harvested, reported by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
