The Minister of Food and Agriculture, R.Burmaa recieved Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia, Mr. Phan Dang Duong.
Mr. Phan Dang Duong emphasized that the two countries need to expand agricultural cooperation by bringing biletrial cooperation to a new level in regards with the 16th meeting of Mongolia-Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee, which aims to provide opportunity to export meat and meat products from Mongolia and intensify the related work, will run in Ulaanbaatar next month.
Agricultural sector is the key role of economy in Vietnam and they developed that sector by ensuring domestic demand and export-oriented industries.
"Even we are able to export rice, fresh fruit, drugs and bio supplement to Mongolia, besides we are interested to import frozen meat and meat products, hides from Mongolia, as we face challenges due to the lack of animal and plant quarantine agreement between the two countries", he said.
The Minister of Food and Agriculture, R.Burmaa said that "Working group led by Vice Minister of Food and Agriculture to increase the economic benefits of agriculture sector, which is responsible for 13% of GDP, is to work in China in order to solve the animal and plant quarantine. By solving the quarantine, transit traffic will be solved too. Our ministry is ready to recieve representatives from Vietnamese veterinary and quarantine Service to discuss on related topics, introduce operation of meat industry and conduct risk assessment and certification. In further, we will always satisfy with cooperating with your country."
