Mongolian climbers and International Sport Masters A.Battogtokh and B.Batkhishig successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest, the highest point on Earth at 8,848 meters, on the morning of May 18, 2025.
The team departed for Tibet on April 13 and began their ascent last week. With this achievement, they become the 15th and 16th Mongolian climbers to conquer the world’s tallest peak.
For B.Batkhishig, the climb was especially meaningful. Having completed his treatment for cancer, he undertook the journey to mark his recovery. He expressed that standing atop Everest symbolized overcoming both the physical and emotional challenges of illness. His message to others is one of resilience: to persist with treatment, stay strong, and pursue sports or activities suited to their abilities.
