During the Standing Committee on Justice meeting held on March 24, MP P. Sainzorig strongly criticized Minister of Justice O.Altangerel, accusing him of siding with the Genco and questioning his neutrality in the ongoing case.
P. Sainzorig expressed concern over the immediate response of state organizations to high-profile cases, stating, "It is very wrong for a state institution to react to a case as soon as it becomes public. I am surprised that the leadership of the police force has come here to claim that I have said something incorrect”.
Addressing Minister O.Altangerel directly, P.Sainzorig emphasized that his appointment was not tied to any political party. "You were appointed by the Prime Minister, not the Democratic Party. You represent the state, and all parties—MPP, DP, and HUN—are in the same system. However, do not become a pawn of any particular group," he said.
He went on to accuse the Minister of taking instructions from Genco, stating, "It is true that you are aligned with Genco. It is clear where you get your orders from. You are directing all the false narratives that are being spread".
P.Sainzorig also mentioned recent online accusations against him regarding the alleged plan to bring in 180,000 workers from China, calling them slanderous. "I will file a complaint with the police" he said firmly.
Responding to the concerns, B.Batzorig, Head of the Legal Department of the Central Investigation Department, provided clarification on the ongoing investigations. "Two separate cases have been registered—one related to organizing online gambling and another regarding incitement to suicide. I am sharing this information with the prosecutor’s permission. We conducted our work under the supervision of the relevant district prosecutor. There may have been some confusion in initial reports, and we will take more care in the future," he stated.
