Minister of Education meets with foreign partners

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports hosted a consultative meeting with its foreign partners and organizations on February 27.

Foreign ambassadors in Ulaanbaatar and representatives from the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNICEF, UNESCO, JICA, and KOICA attended the meeting and reported on their current and future projects in education, culture, science, and sports.

Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Ts. Tsogzolmaa noted, “All the attendees here have contributed to improving the education sector of Mongolia and have shown support for the last two decades.

There is still so much to be done in the sector and I hope you will continue to lend a hand.” One of the requests she made was for cooperation in establishing a new university campus and developing university teachers’ skills. Chief Representative of JICA's Mongolia Office Sato Mutsumi said that JICA plans to build four new schools.

He also mentioned that the aid organization will be focusing on education for people living with disabilities, because these individuals tend to be left behind in education.
