On October 6, a tripartite Cooperation Memorandum was signed by Rio Tinto Mongolia, the Mayor’s Office of Ulaanbaatar City and director of the Business Development Department of National Amusement Park LLC to undertake a restoration project in the National Amusement Park.
On this occasion, Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs MP Kh.Nyambaatar, Head of the Temporary Committee on Ulaanbaatar Development Policy MP E.Bat-Amgalan, MP G.Amartuvshin were present at the signing ceremony and expressed their gratitude for the restoration project.
The capital city authorities are paying special attention to increasing green areas. In this regard, the National Amusement Park will be divided into two parts, and landscaping work will be done. Under the partnership, Rio Tinto Mongolia will restore A part of the land which is 10.2 hectares.
Rio Tinto Mongolia Executive Director Kh.Amarjargal said, "As part of our company's social responsibility, the western part of the National Amusement Park, the 10.2 hectares of public land, will be landscaped into a sustainable green area where citizens can spend their free time in a healthy and comfortable environment. In this regard, tenders will be announced for design and contractor selection, and the project will be finished within four years.
With the establishment of the Tripartite Memorandum of Cooperation, the restoration of the National Amusement Center will be carried out step by step, and construction work will begin in the first half of 2023.
