Government of Mongolia and the representatives of U.S Government have held meetings in order to revamp the TIFA which was interrupted since 2008. TIFA will enable to establish the favourable cooperation environment and improve the trade and investment relations of the two countries and enables the policy discussions to be conducted at the governmental level.
Robert Holleyman, Deputy United States Trade Representative and N.Oyundari, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affaris have presided the meeting from the U.S. and Mongolian sides respectively.
During the meeting the sides have discussed the issues related to transparency of the trade regulations, investment environment issues, trade support procedures and intellectual property rights.
Next sixth meeting is to be held in Washington in 2016.
