Yoshikawa Hiroyuki: I am so grateful to the Mongolian police officer for saving my life 26 years ago

In 1997, 26 years ago, a Mongolian police officer saved the life of a Japanese citizen. In particular, Otgonjargal, who was the Chief of Police department of Uvs province at that time, saved a Japanese athlete participating in an international auto rally in Mongolia who had an accident in the river. Yoshikawa Hiroyuki, a citizen of Japan, is still so grateful and said with tears that he only wants to say the word "thank you" over and over again. He said, "Thanks to that person, I worked hard everyday thanking that person for saving my life again".

He also said, “A year ago, I saw an advertisement about Mongolia in Shizuoka city, Japan where I live. And I went to the event hoping that I can find Otgonjargal who saved my life 26 years ago. I really wanted to say “Thank you” in person. At that time, I wanted to tell him that I came home safely, but I had no contact and didn’t know how to tell. The reason I live healthy now is because of Otgonjargal, so I wanted to meet and tell him in person”.

Ye.Otgonjargal, Senior Police Officer, who saved the life of Yoshikawa Hiroyuki: I started working at the Police department of Uvs province in 1992. In 1997, I started duty in Tarialan soum, Uvs province. During my duty on August 20, 1997, I found a foreign man who had a motorcycle accident, and I brought him to my home and provided emergency aid. After 2 days, a rescue team with a helicopter arrived and took him. At that time, he was shocked and injured. It was my duty to save his life.
