Groundbreaking ceremony of the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will be implemented by Chinese concessionary loan, took place on February 28.
Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, Minister of Construction and Urban Development Kh.Badelkhan and Xing Haiming, Ambassador from Republic of China to Mongolia participated the ceremony.
The government announced on February 20 that construction work of the Central Wastewater Treatment will be started from March 1 and finished within 3 years.
The new plant has a capacity of cleaning 250 thousand meter cube water per day with 3 steps. 53% of total electricity consumption will be provided from manufacturing energy and heating from producing mud.
Feasibility Study of the Central Waste Treatment Plant was developed by the French company "Artelia Wil and Transport" and its total cost is 267 million US dollars.
