On March 6, L.Oyun-Erdene, the Prime Minister of Mongolia, received Volker Wissing, a member of the German Bundestag, and the Federal Minister for Digital and Transport, and other representatives who are paying an official visit to Mongolia.
During the meeting, L.Oyun-Erdene, the Prime Minister of Mongolia, emphasized that the relations between the two countries reached the level of strategic partnership during the state visit of Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, and expressed a gratitude to the Federal Minister for Digital and Transport for visiting and working with the large group of representatives of private sector organizations and professional associations in Ulaanbaatar.
The Prime Minister also noted that the signing of the Road Transport Agreement between the governments of the two countries is important for the development of trade, transport logistics and economic relations, and for intensifying cooperation in the road transport sector. Furthermore, he emphasized that the government of Mongolia pays great attention to the development of road, air transport and railway infrastructure for Mongolia, which is a landlocked country with a vast territory.
The two parties exchanged views on many issues, such as increasing the frequency of flights between the two countries, training Mongolian youth in Germany in the sectors of road construction, transport logistics, digitalization, professional education, and reducing traffic congestion.
