ULAANBAATAR (GoGo Mongolia) - A new library dedicated to the students and teachers of the National University of Mongolia, located between the 1st and 2nd buildings of the National University of Mongolia, is ready to welcome its first readers.
The majority of the funding was solved by the university itself and it was built by a total of 16 billion MNT approx 6492 USD.
The 6-storey library has reading halls in its 1-4th floors and research laboratory and lecture halls in its 5-6th floors. There are six reading halls including the scientific hall, teachers` hall, natural science hall, electronic hall, social and humanities hall. Every hall has different interior and has its own features.
The library has a capacity to receive 700 students at the same time. Currently, it has 500 thousand books while its electronic library features more than 20 books and over 2000 master's research work.
The grand opening of the library will take place on Oct 5th.
