The Minister of Mining, R.Jigjid made presentation on "Times of review and reflection - Mongolia is opening up its assets once again".
He greeted the guests and participants of the Coal Mongolia 2015" event that is celebrating its 5th anniversary.
"For 78 years, Mongolia used coal for only domestic use for power plants. Since 2000, Mongolia started exporting coal."
"Mongolia has total of 173.5 bln tons of coal resources, 31.7 bln tons of proven resources and 5-10 ton cub.m CBM inferred resources."
"China is Mongolia’s main coal market, and the goal is to strengthen Mongolia’s position as a player in the Chinese and Asia Pacific marketplace through competitiveness and enhanced coal
quality and conformance with regional standards."
