A live broadcast of Victory Day Parade can be viewed at Chingis Square

This year, Russian Federation will celebrate 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War on May 9th. In scope of the anniversary, over 200 Mongolian veterans were ordered to honor and the honoring ceremony will continue until September 02.

City Army Chief, Colonel J.Boldbaatar said: "195 veterans (or 95% of the veterans) who were participated in the Great Patriotic War are residing in Ulaanbaatar city. Some of them are bedridden and officials from districts and khoroo will visit at their home to pay honor."

Moreover, 70th Anniversary medals will be made and the medal awarding ceremony is to be held in August and September.

On May 09, live broadcast of Victory Day Parade dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Soviet victory in the 1941-45 Great Patriotic War against Nazi Germany can be viewed from Chingis Square at 04 PM by led screen.

In addition, concert for the Victory Day Parade will be organized at 02 PM.

During the meeting with City Mayor E.Bat-Uul, Russian Ambassador wanted him to invite citizens at the Chingis Square.

In connection with the anniversary, following woks are planned to be implemented:

  • Restore statue of Mongolian and Soviet soldiers
  • Honor monuments and statues of Mongolian warriors in China
  • Make documentaries, history books and album
  • Organize international academic conference and cultural events
  • Organize ceremonial events in Ulaanbaatar city, Sukhbaatar and Dornogobi aimags
